Suitability: This course is ideal for those working in forestry environments including forestry workers, arborists, vegetation clearance, tree planting & Forestry Commission work. This course is the national standard in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW+f) and meets the requirements of staff or contractors working for the Forestry Commission.

- Managing an unconscious casualty
- Recognition and treatment of heart attacks
- Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation
- Safe use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Shock
- Choking
- Managing Anaphylactic shock
- Seizures
- Bleeding
- Common workplace injuries
- Dealing with crush injuries
- Dealing with Hypothermia
- Drowning
- Recognising and treating fractures
- Dealing with catastrophic bleeding (haemostatic dressings & tourniquet)
- Amputation
- Lyme disease
- Knowledge of contents of a first aid kit.
